The Easter message "Thread" was such a blessing to me and provided the Holy Spirit "shout" that I needed to totally change where I was going in the Easter sermon. I have never changed directions for the sermon for such a huge Sunday on such short notice. I opened the Creativepastors.com email from Ed and after reading the brief intro for the Thread sermon purchased the download and immediately read thru the entire script. I was so blessed and the Holy Spirit took my spirit and mind on an incredible ride with an outline and illustrations and a minor change in the "coat" illustration. I didn't feel I could afford to cut up 6 coats at our 6 weekend services so I used a series of coats, one that didn't fit, one that was torn and frayed, one that was so ugly, one that was just not me, and one that was "tailor made" for me...each coat represented one way to choose to go our own way instead of going the Lord's tailored plan for our lives.

Tying the thread around each others wrist was so powerful as many visitors and members had the opportunity to meet each other during this brief exchange. I heard from many who were able to connect with visitors during this thread tying moment and talked after the service. Many showed the visitors around and several even witnessed to their "new friends" and have followed up with these visitors early this week.

God is so wise and so good... Thank you for being the vessel to continually stretch me outside my comfort zone of 29 years of ministry. This will be an Easter sermon and service where I will never forget God's mighty moving at Harrison Church.
