Lesson 1

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should give God our best in all areas of our lives.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Have to Give it My All!
• Bible Story: The calling of the disciples (Matthew 4; 9; John 1)
• Memory Verse: "Whatever you do, do well" (Ecclesiastes 9:10a NLT).

Lesson 2

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should follow God's instructions in the Bible.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Must Follow His Instructions!
• Bible Story: Jesus and the greatest commandment (Matthew 22:34-40)
• Memory Verse: "But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise you are only fooling yourselves" (James 1:22 NLT).

Lesson 3

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that it is important to pray and read our Bibles at home.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Should Pray and Read My Bible at Home!
• Bible Story: Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-41)
• Memory Verse: "Come close to God, and God will come close to you" (James 4:8a NLT).

Lesson 4

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should share what we know and can do with others.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Need to Share what I Know and What I Can Do!
• Bible Story: Jesus sends out the seventy-two (Luke 10:1-23)
• Memory Verse: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20 NLT).

Lesson 5

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should be humble and serve those around us.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Have to Serve and Help Those Around Me!
• Bible Story: Jesus washes the disciples' feet (John 13:1-17)
• Memory Verse: "...And all of you, serve each other in humility, for 'God opposes the proud, but favors the humble'" (1 Peter 5:5b NLT).

Lesson 6

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should be persistent in prayer.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Must Never Give Up Praying!
• Bible Story: The parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8)
• Memory Verse: "Never stop praying" (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT).

Lesson 7

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should be humble instead of prideful.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Should Be Humble!
• Bible Story: The pride of James and John (Mark 10:35-45)
• Memory Verse: "Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom" (Proverbs 11:2 NLT).

Lesson 8

• Lesson Goal: The children will learn that it is important to stick with the team when times get tough.
• Main Point: To Play On God's Team, I Shouldn't Quit When Times Get Tough!
• Bible Story: Jesus gives the disciples a mission (John 19-20; Matthew 28:19)
• Memory Verse: "Dear brothers and sisters, when trouble comes your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow" (James 1:2-3 NLT).
